Over 600 children have already signed up to play the fall season of 2012 with AYSO Region 54! Due to popular demand the region has announced two more registration dates in the month of May. Parents can register their children on Saturday, May 19th or Sunday, May 20th at San Marino Elementary School from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All children ages four to 18 are welcome to play.
Sign ups are still open for the Fall of 2012
"We want every kid that wants to play soccer an opportunity to sign up," said Bob Orr, the region commissioner.
Registration on May 19 and 20 will take only a few minutes. Parents and guardians will find that they will be able to complete the registration process faster than a Cristiano Ronaldo free kick or a Leonel Messi dribble.
"Completing the registration process will not take long at all," Orr added. "And if someone can't make it to the registration events, you can also mail your registration and payment to our P.O. Box."
COMPLETED REGISTRATIONS AND PAYMENTS CAN BE MAILED TO:
AYSO Region 54
PO Box 4509
Cerritos Ca, 90703
A copy of the child's birth certificate is needed for first time players. The registration fee will be $125, but parents who pre-register online at www.eayso.org and bring two signed copies of their printed registration will receive a $15 registration discount.
Every registered player will receive a complete uniform, including jersey, shorts and socks. Also every player will play at least half of every game of the season. Fall season practices will start in August and league play will begin in September. An important part of AYSO is volunteering, which helps keep the costs down for everyone. Training classes and continuing education are provided to all coach and referee volunteers.
AYSO is dedicated to child development in a soccer environment that is safe, fair and fun. The kids are the focus of all AYSO programs. Keep visiting this page for more information or e-mail aysoregion54@gmail.com.
